About

To achieve the learning outcomes, students will:

-acquaint themselves with the concept of dialogue
-analyse the role of language in the context of workplace communication
-practice strategies of sharing meaning through dialogue in a group
-develop strategies for dealing with conflict
-engage in a common workplace task (e.g. negotiating a strategy for an organization)

Course aim

On completion of the course, the students are expected to be able to:

-use strategies to enhance dialogue and constructive communication at work
-understand and know how to overcome barriers to effective communication
-have knowledge and tools to reflect on and develop their own communication skills
