About
This summer school enables students and professionals from all over the world to engage in discussions on the prospects and challenges of international criminal justice. Students will be immersed in the field through lectures and exercises dealing with all aspects of International Criminal Law, from substantive crimes (genocide, crimes against humanity, war crimes and aggression) to complementarity, modes of liability, the rights of the accused and the role of victims.
This course offers a unique opportunity to learn from influential and well-known academics from Leiden University and practitioners from the International Courts and Tribunals in The Hague. You will gain first-hand knowledge on international criminal law. The course also offers plenty of opportunities to network with fellow students and practitioners from all over the world.

This summer school is aimed at law students (who have completed at least one year of their degree), young graduates and professionals with a background in law.
